Public Events and Tours

Garden Tour

Our Extension Master Gardeners sponsor a variety of events throughout the year for area gardeners.  Though some events have been on hiatus due to COVID-19 limitations, we continue to offer as many educational opportunities for gardeners as feasible.

Design & Grow Gardening Workshop (March 4, 2023)

Design & Grow will be packed with ideas and information for beginning and longtime gardeners alike. It is an opportunity to learn from the pros, garner ideas for your garden and landscape, and find inspiration in new plants and gardening experiences. Design and Grow is scheduled for 9:00am - 12:00pm on Saturday, March 4, 2023.  The fee to attend is $10 through February 24th, and $15 following that date.

As an additional option this year, we will offer 3 different gardening workshops during the afternoon.  The afternoon workshops are for gardeners who are eager for a hands-on experience to learn more about Seed Starting, Lawn Mowing, or Composting.  The fee to attend one of the afternoon workshops is $20 through February 24th, and $25 after that date.  Detailed information and registration

Gardening Classes in partnership with the Wichita Public Library - Spring Classes Scheduled for April 4 - May 4, 2023

The new spring classes for 2023 are scheduled for April 4th through May 4th - check out the current class offerings on our events calendar, or go to the Wichita Public Library gardening events page to register.

This annual shopping extravaganza is a gardeners dream and includes new and gently used gardening tools, containers/planters, bird feeders/bird houses, and other miscellaneous items.  Visit our events calendar for hours and more details.

Spring Garden Fair (Saturday, May 6, 2023)

Get a fresh start on your gardening this year at the Spring Garden Fair, scheduled for Saturday, May 6th, from 7:00am to 1:00pm.  Browse our huge plant sale, and visit with representatives from area garden clubs for advice and information.  Save the date to get your gardening in gear at this educational and fun event!  More details will be posted on our events calendar when available.
