Apprenticeship Information

Please note: Although we are not offering the Apprenticeship/Host Farm program in 2024, we hope to offer it again in 2025. Below is information on how you can participate as an Apprentice

Apprenticeships with Growing Growers ICT are for those who desire a deeper knowledge of how to grow fruits and vegetables as a profitable business or effective garden project. Apprentices are matched with a local host farm where the apprenticeship can be paid or volunteer and range from full-time to just a few hours a week. In addition to the hands-on experience, apprentices get one-on-one time with a mentor to learn what happens behind the scenes. There is a $250 participation fee for apprentices. This fee covers program and workshop costs and many resource materials that will be provided over the course of the program.

Please note:  In 2024, apprenticeships are not being offered in Sedgwick CountyWe hope to offer them again in 2025. However, anyone interested in the program is encouraged to participate in the Online Course (Growing Growers: Starting a Sustainable Vegetable Farm) offered by Growing Growers Kansas City.
