Training

Health insurance options can be confusing. SHICK volunteers help Medicare beneficiaries, caregivers, and others to understand their choices, access benefits, and find programs to help with the cost of health care.

SHICK Volunteers receive training on Medicare, Medicare Prescription Drug Insurance, Medicare Supplement Insurance, Long-Term Care Insurance, and other health insurance subjects that concern Kansans. Training is offered through on-line & in-person training. Volunteers must complete a volunteer application and interview, and pass a background check before being allowed to take SHICK training.
