This kit provides a teacher with the materials needed to implement or supplement a study of magnets in the classroom. The teacher's guide provides instructions for 6 activity lessons, in addition to a related vocabulary words list.

Included in the kit are all the materials needed for 5 groups of students to complete each activity lesson. As students complete the activities they will discover what objects magnets attract, learn about magnetic poles, see the effect of magnetic fields and learn about electromagnetism.

The kit may be checked out for a period of no more than 2 weeks. A personal check deposit of $100 is required at the time of pick up. The check will be held for collaterol until kit is returned complete and undamaged. This kit is available to pick up at the Sedgwick County Extension Office during business hours.
