Industry Applications for Interns

P2 interns' research effective waste-reducing solutions which help companies reduce operating costs, regulatory compliance burdens, and their environmental footprint.  Through these projects, students gain hands-on experience in an industrial setting plus an understanding of pollution prevention strategies as value-added options for problem solving and environmental management.

Businesses gain well-developed, specific options for improved operating efficiency, cost savings, reduced waste, and decreased regulatory burden.  If your business wants to explore P2 opportunities for your operations, but lacks time or resources, the PPI P2 Intern Program is a unique opportunity to make headway on that new project?

Financial support - Interns receive up to $15/hour plus fringe, and gain an education in pollution prevention - knowledge of this environmental principle will be advantageous to any future career.  Many P2 internships throughout the United States have resulted in employment offers from host companies.  Participating businesses and the PPI share the cost of the intern's wages.
