Crops

Our Goal is to help you maximize profitability in your cropping systems.  Keep an eye out for one of our crop production schools, crop tours, bring a sample in, schedule a field visit, or see the crop production guides that K-State Research and Extension has published.

Programs We Offer

We offer a variety of crop production workshops, updates, and tours throughout the year.  Many are held annually, but some are rotated every few years.

On Farm Research

If you have any interest in setting up an on farm research plot to figure out what population rate, fertilizer rate, or other agronomic question you may have, contact us and we can help design, set-up, and analyze the data collected from your plot.

Demonstration Plot Results

Each year we cooperate with producers and local businesses to find a plot of land, gather seed, and plant replicated wheat demonstration plots.  With the ever increasing number of wheat varieties farmers have to choose from, the plots exhibit how the variety performs locally that year.  Notes are taken and harvest data is collected and shared to help farmers make decisions on which varieties may work best on their farm the following year.  We just received the data for 2017, please find report below.
