A "Winning the Game" Corn Marketing Workshop will be held Tuesday, December 1, 2020 at the Sedgwick County Extension office in Wichita. The meeting will be from 8:00am - 12:00pm.
Commercial Pesticide Applicator Recertification Workshop Scheduled
October 15, 2020The 2020 Commercial Pesticide Applicator Recertification Workshop is being held for those that work as applicators of turf and ornamental pest management products. The workshop will be held online via Zoom, Tuesday and Wednesday, November 17-18, 2020 from 8:00am - 12:00pm each day.

Sedgwick County Extension Education Center temporarily closes to the public

To protect the health of the community, the Sedgwick County Extension Education Center will close to the public effective Monday, March 16, at 2:00 p.m. until further notice. K-State Research and Extension — Sedgwick County is following guidelines set by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and is limiting operations to mitigate any further spread of the novel coronavirus, or COVID-19, in the state.

Regional Farmers' Market Workshop in Wichita Feb. 8

The Kansas Department of Agriculture (KDA) and K-State Research and Extension (KSRE) will host a regional workshop at the Sedgwick County Extension Center 4-H Hall on Saturday, Feb. 8, 2020. This is one of six regional workshops which are being offered this year to assist farmers’ market vendors and managers. The other workshop locations are Iola, Olathe, Hiawatha, Beloit and Leoti.
