WICHITA – Gardeners, DIYers, and outdoor enthusiasts are invited to the eighth annual Tools & Treasures three-day fundraising event supporting local gardening education. This shopping event will take place Thursday, March 26 through Saturday, March 28, 2026, offering a wide selection of affordable gardening and outdoor items. Proceeds from the event support the educational outreach efforts of the Sedgwick County Extension Master Gardener Volunteer program.

Shoppers can browse a collection of new and gently used items for gardens, landscapes, and outdoor spaces of all sizes. Available items may include essential tools, decorative accents, and specialty garden features such as:

  • Garden art and landscape décor
  • Stained-glass steppingstones
  • Planters, birdhouses, and rain barrels
  • Wheelbarrows, trellises, compost bins, pond supplies, and more

The Tools & Treasures Fundraiser provides an opportunity for community members to find quality garden items at affordable prices while directly supporting local educational programming and volunteer outreach.

The fundraiser will be held at the Sedgwick County Extension Education Center (inside 4-H Hall), located at 7001 W. 21st Street N. in Wichita. Event hours are:

  • Thursday, March 26: 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
  • Friday, March 27: 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
  • Saturday, March 28: 7:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

Proceeds benefit the Sedgwick County Extension Master Gardener Volunteer program, which delivers research-based horticulture education through public programs, youth initiatives, plant clinics, demonstration gardens, a garden hotline, and educational workshops throughout the county. In 2025, volunteers contributed more than 29,486 service hours and reached over 100,574 Sedgwick County residents through education and outreach efforts.
