December Holiday Floral Design Workshop Teaches Participants How to Create a Festive Centerpiece

Holiday Floral Design Workshop to take place December 6, 2025.

WICHITA – K-State Extension – Sedgwick County invites the community to a Holiday Floral Design Workshop on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at the Sedgwick County Extension Education Center.

Led by Irina Sheshukova, K-State Instructor, Extension Specialist, and Accredited Member of the American Institute of Floral Designers (AIFD), this hands-on workshop offers participants the opportunity to create a beautiful, medium-sized Christmas tree table arrangement to take home for the holidays.

Two identical sessions will be offered:

  • Morning session: 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
  • Afternoon session: 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Participation is limited to 25 people per session. The cost is $75 per person, which includes all materials and supplies.

This workshop is open to everyone interested in exploring floral design and horticulture as creative and community-building activities.

Participants will:

  • Enjoy a fun and creative learning experience
  • Build a Christmas tree table arrangement
  • Receive step-by-step instruction and hands-on guidance
  • Connect with others and build community
  • Discover how horticulture can enhance mood, well-being, and community vitality
