WICHITA - – To protect the health of the community, the Sedgwick County Extension Education Center will close to the public effective Monday, March 16, 2:00 p.m. until further notice.

K-State Research and Extension — Sedgwick County is following guidelines set by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and is limiting operations to mitigate any further spread of the novel coronavirus, or COVID-19, in the state.

"Ensuring the health and safety of K-State Research and Extension —Sedgwick County employees and reducing the potential spread of the novel coronavirus COVID-19 in our community is a priority," Jennifer Brantley, director of K-State Research and Extension — Sedgwick County, said.

All Sedgwick County Extension Education Center events have been moved to an alternate format, canceled or suspended. For updated events information, go to www.sedgwick.k-state.edu/covid-19.html.
