In your view, what role does Extension play as part of a thriving community?

Extension, in my view, helps to educate the public in different areas of life through programs, or being there for a simple phone call/question. They help bring new ideas in these areas to the public by being a liaison between university research and the public; as well as, educate on new issues that arise in an industry or topic area.

Please list the top (3) three priorities, in your opinion, for the Ag/Hort program development committee.

  1. Bring relevant and current issues to the table for future programs.
  2. Bring ideas on ways to get information to the public.
  3. Bring ideas on ways to look for possible topics that could come up in the future.

Please list relevant work/community involvement/volunteer experience.

I currently work on my family farm west of Wichita; we are involved in both crop and livestock production. I am also involved in our church community.

What else should we know about you?

I thoroughly love being involved in production agriculture, and strive to continue to be involved and learn more about what is going on in the industry.
